More than 200 people turned out to celebrate this year’s successful Aiga Challenge, a community-based eight-week weight loss programme.
The annual challenge, run by our Healthy Village Action Zones (HVAZ) team saw 14 Pacific churches in the ADHB area come together to lose weight through physical activity and healthy nutrition.

Certificates were awarded to 18 individuals across three age categories, with the overall winner of each age group losing between 8-15 kg.
Rock of Ages church from Panmure, which had 42 participants in the challenge, won the trophy for the highest percentage of weight loss, and also took home the Supreme Award title. The church’s team lost an incredible combined total of 221.6 kgs.
