Dr Veena Sothieson
Doctor of Clinical Psychology (DClinPsych)
Veena is a Clinical Psychologist based at the Epsom Clinic. Veena works with children, adolescents, families, and adults regarding life stresses, anxiety, mood-related issues, eating-related issues, body image concerns, trauma, and other psychological challenges. Veena has experience in delivering evidence-based therapies, particularly CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and ACT. Veena also works for the ESBHS Team, which involves working with youth across some decile 1-3 High schools in Auckland.
PGDipChild/Family Psych; MEd (Child/Family Psych)
A child/adolescent psychologist.
Assists children through to young adults who are experiencing developmental and/or mental health difficulties, while also providing parenting/family therapy to help manage these problems. Provides cognitive assessments for parents who are concerned about their child/adolescent’s learning. Project Leader for the Triple P Project. Mentors staff delivering Triple P programmes, and works alongside families who are experiencing parenting difficulties in relation to their children’s/teen’s challenging behaviours.

Linda is a Clinical Psychologist who has over 30 years of clinical practice. Linda has experience in working on psychological issues across the life span and she has expertise in a range of therapy approaches. Linda’s passion is working with children, couples and families, and she can provide diagnostic and cognitive assessments across the lifespan & specifically the assessment of individuals on the autistic spectrum. Linda is also a provider for ACC Sensitive Claims with children, adolescents and adults who have experienced personal trauma in their lives.

Judy is a counsellor/CBT therapist. Judy is experienced in working with clients presenting with a number of difficulties, including stress, anxiety, depression, grief, anger, relationship difficulties, maternal mental health and self-esteem issues. Judy uses client centred therapy, CBT and ACT in her work.
Judy originally trained as a nurse. She has a special interest in primary care and taught part-time in the Department of General Practice and Primary Care at the University of Auckland.
