Your ProCare Doctor may refer you to another medical specialist or hospital. If you are referred to a private or public hospital or clinic, a visit to the Healthpoint website will provide information about:
- the general location e.g. where to go, how to get there, where to park, available services
- the appointment e.g. what to expect during a specific assessment or procedure
- the consultants working in that service including: contact details, qualifications, subspecialties (some organisations do not provide this information)
- surgical service information e.g. who operates where and which surgical procedures are performed there
- other useful information including: patient rights, support groups, government organisations
The information about a service is approved, regularly reviewed and updated by clinicians from that individual service.
